'The Man Who Cycled To The Moon' is an album comprising 2 bodies of work. The first consists of seven tracks recorded in summer of 1994. These tracks were recorded on the back of the production of the 'Anam' project, and were  built with an array of old-school analogue equipment and recording techniques - sampling from vinyl and cassette on Juno keyboards and sequencing with Dr.T ( pre-cubase ). The result is an eclectic mix with references and credits as follows;

Lyrics on Track 1 inspired by dialogue from 'The Ren and Stimpy Show' and quotations from Pablo Picasso.

Drums by Marc Carolan. Monologue read by Groucho Marx.

Lyrics on Track 3 inspired by J.M. Barries' 'Peter Pan' and Barbara Tuchman's 'A Distant Mirror, The Calamatous 14th Century'. Monologues read by Mary Purcell and Rhonwen Hayes. Drums by Marc Carolan.

Thanks to Noam Chomsky, William Shakespeare, Eamonn Doyle, for help on Chomsky, and The Wormholes for their ambience on track 6.

The second body of work consists of 8 tracks recorded between 1987 and 1991. They were recorded on a Tascam 4-track cassette recorder, with a Casio SK-5 sampling keyboard, and various samples from vinyl and cassette. Most of the titles were originally composed on piano. This body of work in its entirety is called 'Titus And Juno In The Suburbs'. It is intended to have a more mysterious tone than its more upbeat counterpart, recalling a world service radio play or a silent movie.

All tracks by Alan Lambert

Recorded 1988-1994. Originally released on Dead Elvis in 1999.
